Pentatonix

Pentatonix is an accapella group that started out on the show called the sing off.

I had watched them since the very start of the show all the way to them becoming

the winners, and lets just say, I fell in love with their talent to use their voices like that!

Quickly I must add that my boyfriend parked behind their tour bus and as I was waiting for him to 

pay for parking, Kirstie, Mitch, and Scott all came walking out to go into the tour bus,

I was freaking out inside but calmly said hello to them and they said hello back!! 

I know they are just people like me but I still almost passed out from excitement, being a music geek and all.

We waited for a little bit while this other guy was on the stage, waiting for the real show to begin!

When the show started everyone was so excited and had so much fun! They were sooo good! 

I would post videos but they aren't that good of quality, but if they are in your town

(they are starting their 2013 tour) You should definitely check them out!

This is a little late but a couple weekends ago I got to go to yet ANOTHER NFL game!! 

This time I went with my Mom and Jeremy
 (we also met up with Amy for a minute of tailgating).

We had such a blast!

The sprinklers went off in the middle of the game,

which was not planned!!

The end was nail biting!! We were loosing BUT of course the Dolphins came through and won!!

Let me see that pumpkin roll!

For the holidays, a coworker of mine invited me over to learn how to make a pumpkin roll!! 

It was such a delicious treat that I will have to make it again, and I am going to share with you how to make it so you can enjoy it too!!

First you get all the ingredients which includes:

Cake

    1/4 C Sugar   3/4 C All-Purpose Flower   1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

    1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda   1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon 

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cloves  1/4 Teaspoon Salt

3 Large Eggs   1 C Granulated Sugar   2/3 C Pure Pumpkin in a can

1 C Walnuts (optional)

Filling

1 Pkg (8 oz) Cream Cheese at room temperature

1 C Powdered Sugar

6 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine, Softened

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Cake:

Preheat oven to 375 F

Grease 15x10 Jelly pan and sprinkle powdered sugar

clean kitchen cloth sprinkle with powdered sugar

Combine

 Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Cloves and Salt

In a small bowl

Combine

Beat Eggs, Granulated Sugar, and Pumpkin until Thick

Then add flour mixture and stir then

Spread prepared mixture evenly into the pan

Bake for 13-15 minutes

Remove from pan onto prepared Kitchen cloth dusted with powder sugar (to prevent sticking)

Roll up cake and towel together, starting with the narrow end and let cool

 Filling:

Beat Cream Cheese, 1 C powdered Sugar, Butter, And Vanilla Extract 

Until Smooth

Carefully unroll Cake and spread cream cheese mixture onto cake

 and re-roll (without the towel silly)

 wrap in plastic wrap until serving time

Pumpkin Carving Time

Jeremy and I did some pumpkin carving last night. It was so much fun, neither of us had done pumpkin carving since we were little so we were a little excited!

Step One: Set up the carving area

Step Two: Cut a hole and gut out the pumpkin

Step Three: Start the carving process

Then wala! They turned out so good, I liked them both and will be set out for all the neighbors to see!!

On Sunday I got to go to my FIRST NFL GAME EVER!

My moms coworker gave me two free tickets. So off I went with Jeremy Seiden.

Since I had never been to a game I didn't have anything to wear but Jeremy saved the day and was nice and got me a dolphins shirt!

We had tickets right in the end zone which was perfect cause you could see absolutely everything and the big screen was right in front of us, very convenient to be able to watch instant replays and such.

This was everyone leaving the stadium. Everyone was hooting and hollering from the excitement of winning!

I thought it was great for my First NFL Game Ever!!

Settlers of Catan!

Settlers of Catan = The new addicting board game!!

If you don't  know of the game you are truly missing out! The goal of the game is to have the most cities roads and settlements ect. in the game, the first person to reach 10 points is the winner.

longest road = 2 points

1 Settlement = 1 point

1 City = 2 points

Biggest Army = 2 points

Basic board

Their is a lot to the game and it does take a little bit to learn, but it is totally worth it. My friends and I play it multiple times a week and we just bought the traders and barbarians expansion

 which is for far more advanced players but it's extremely fun. Since it has become a regular in my life I decided I would tell you guys about it!! Trust me...TRY IT!!

Discovery Museum

Yesterday I got to spend the day with Steven. Getting him out of the house has been a little bit of a challenge since he got 3 new games for his xbox (Just kidding...Kind of lol)

Our first stop was the Discovery Museum of Science!!

I hadn't been there since I was really little and can I say I was just as excited!?

They had many different interactive gadgets to test your strength, smarts, ect.

We then interrupted our museum walk and went to the imax and watched a movie about the north pole and the struggles of all the animals that live there. It was 3D and pretty interesting.

We then continued our walk through the museum and saw lots of animals and things about weather.

Biggest lobster I had ever seen!!

Steven in the wind tunnel going 91 mph, he even had to grab and hold his hat at one point!!

Florida Suits Me Well

So I haven't written a blog in a month, I have done plenty...Just didn't have any inspiration to do so! I am now back on track and will try to post more often!

I have started working at TGIF as a waitress and I absolutely love it.

Hmmm recent events...Well nothing really besides work and my friend Sams 25th birthday!!!

I bought her a cake, sash and tiara to wear the whole night we were at roundup we had such a blast!!

This is about as normal of a picture I can ever get Steven to take! This one just makes me laugh.

Yesterday was such a fun Sunday! The Original plan was go to the beach and play some volleyball and just hang out, but a huge storm came through so we went bowling instead, what a great idea.

After bowling we walked outside and their was SUNSHINE!! So we decided to go to a local park and play some volleyball, I have not been so active in a while and it was amazing, we played 3 games of volleyball where our team won 2 of 3 times.   Then someone had a basketball too so we played a game of that to 21 which was super fun.

After that we decided to go home and shower off and meet up for a game of Settlers of Catan...perfect timing too, the weather turned into rain again, thanks weather for staying nice for the 4 hours we played sports!

4th Of July

This 4th of July I got to spend it on the beach!! I didn't take any pictures cause I didn't want my camera/phone around water and sand, but this is kind of what I saw

It was such a crazy experience, I have seen many firework shows but this one was by far the best experience. I say this because the beach I was on did their own firework show but much like this picture, you could see fireworks being set off for miles at all the other big beaches. Match that up with friends and sitting on the beach hearing the ocean waves, I haven't experienced much better!

My Events Were:

 hanging out with a bunch of friends enjoying the 90 degree weather

 playing beach volleyball where I ended up doing some splits on accident!

and just having a great time

Zach and I, he didn't have as cool of a hat as me so he added a frisbee to his attire

Hope  everyone had an amazing 4th and I am grateful for our independence!

My Aunt Linda was in town this past week and I already wrote about the first half of our trip. After Kissimmee, FL We went on a little 3 day Bahamas cruise, where we stayed at the beach all day and enjoyed the beautiful sun!

In Hollywood, we went on the boardwalk and looked at all the little shops.

In South Beach we went to a place called the Shakin Penguin which was on tv called Hotel Impossible where they got renovated, we then had their signature drink called the Shake your penguin, I wanted to steal the shaker, but I didn't!
